Upgrading your Leadership OS:

Practical Skills for Leading Amidst Transition

We constantly upgrade our technology systems, but what about our personal operating systems? This course equips middle managers to lead amidst ambiguity and transition: upgrading their mental models, strengthening emotional resilience and acquiring practical skills backed by cutting-edge research.

Core topics:

  • Understand how the brain responds to transition, learning from case studies in the tech and start-up industries.

  • Gain skills for personal and team regulation, and effective communication during cycles of rapid change. Practice in a safe environment with peers.

  • Hands-on opportunities to recalibrate leadership identity and agenda during periods of organizational transition.

  • Practical case studies and opportunities to reflect and immediately put new methods to practice.

Career trajectories are more ambiguous than they were before. Helping employees stay motivated goes beyond defining career paths - it requires all employees to proactively define and scope their alliance with the organization as personal and organizational realities change.

This program equips employees to intentionally chart their career and leadership agenda by testing hypotheses, taking small steps and assembling support both inside and outside the workplace.

Navigating and Thriving in your Mid-Career

Unstuck: Resilience Amidst Workplace Challenges

No surprises: at some point, we all encounter challenges at work, ranging from stress and burnout to workplace tension and conflict. These are exacerbated as organizations undergo rapid transitions and restructuring.

This proactive approach replaces emotional shut-down or unnecessary escalation with practical planning, making for a system that is resilient to transition and change.

  • Action Planning: leverage evidence-based tools to chart your path and define your steps.

  • Support System: build emotional, practical and expert support to navigate the challenge successfully. Leverage resources within, and outside your organization.

  • Pass it on: Practice the three step system to support others (team members, peers) who are navigating workplace challenges.

The Art of Bridging:
Owning Your Technology Agenda

Why is there resistance to technology adoption? Why are employees less excited about the "AI agenda" than management? Resistance arises when employees and even executives sense that deeply held objectives and values are compromised in the drive towards productivity - and they have no room to reconcile these.

This workshop helps non-technical leaders develop an innovation agenda and lead their teams in iterative technology adoption.

Core topics:

  • Learn the Art of Bridging Framework with accompanying case studies for how organizations have adopted technology and new operating systems in their unique ways.

  • Hands-on exercises to integrate "existing" and "new" cultures, values, and operating models that technology brings.

  • Action-orientation: participants identify core objectives, small steps towards technology adoption and culture change, and areas of collaboration that they can pursue with their peer group.

"Lean On", Not Just "Lean In"

"If it's hard, try harder." Hard work and endurance drive success, but if these are the only tools in your toolbox, it can lead to a lack of resilience and career longevity. Developed through research with Princeton University, this workshop provides a systemic, research-backed approach to help employees build the support system that they need to thrive in their careers and overcome challenges.

Core topics:

  • Identify and overcome the myths that hinder help-seeking, especially among high performers and in under-represented contexts.

  • Understand resilience as the balance of stress and support in our lives, and that in certain seasons when stress increases, support has to increase commensurately.

  • Understand the range of practical, emotional and expert needs that everyone has during times of challenge and change.

  • Immediately augment your support system with organizational, community and personal resources so that you are better equipped to navigate challenge and change.
